Veterinarians

Dr. Charissa Creller
Dr. Charissa Creller

DVM

Dr. Charissa Creller is a Michigan native who received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a focus on cell and molecular biology from Michigan State University in 2014. During schooling, she worked at a 24-hour emergency animal hospital in the Lansing area as a veterinary assistant. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2018. She joined Hall Veterinary Clinic in January 2022. Dr. Creller’s interests outside of work include watching movies, hiking, trying new food, traveling, and camping. She now only has 2 Siberian Huskies, Baxter and Lola, and is active in the animal rescue community with fosters coming and going regularly.

Dr. Melissa Bilstein
Dr. Melissa Bilstein

DVM

Dr. Melissa Bilstein, originally from Barrington Illinois, received her Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness with a focus on animal science from Southeast Missouri State University in 2017. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Missouri in 2021. After school, she moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where she practiced at various urgent care and general practices. She moved to Gaylord and joined Hall Veterinary Clinic in September 2023. Dr. Bilstein has a special interest in surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, boating, and skiing.

Dr. Susan Hall
Dr. Susan Hall

DVM

Originally from downstate Michigan, Dr. Susan Hall moved to the Gaylord area in 1997. Dr. Hall is a 1979 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. She is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, and AEMV. She is a third-generation veterinarian in her family. Hall Veterinary Clinic was opened by Dr. Hall in 2002. Dr. Hall has a special interest in exotic mammals and is certified in veterinary osteopathic manipulation (VOM). She has rescued and adopted a variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, mice, rats, and a rooster. When Dr. Hall finds free time, she enjoys spinning, crocheting, and knitting using fibers from her alpacas and rabbits. She also loves taking long walks with her dogs and reading.

Dr. Lauren Krupsky
Dr. Lauren Krupsky

DVM

Dr. Lauren Krupsky is a Michigan native who grew up in Southeastern Michigan but spent much of her time vacationing in northern Michigan with her family growing up. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Central Michigan University in 2012 and spent a year working at a small animal veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Missouri in 2017. Since graduating, Dr. Krupsky has worked in mixed-animal practice. She moved to Gaylord with her family and started at Hall Veterinary Clinic in May 2024. Dr. Krupsky’s interests outside of work include spending time with her husband and kids, traveling, hiking, and reading. She currently has a lab named Aldo and a cat named Albert.

Practice Manager

Janet joined our team at Hall Veterinary Clinic in July 2019. She has more than 30 years of veterinary experience. As our practice manager, her priority focus is excelling as a client, patient, and team advocate while growing a healthy business. Janet’s evenings and weekends are spent with her spouse, family, and three dogs on the lake! With her clear dedication and experience in veterinary medicine, she has become an invaluable member of our team.

Veterinary Assistant

Jaime has been a dedicated team member of Hall Veterinary Clinic since 2004. She is invaluable as our lead assistant and head of the surgery support team. She enjoys teaching new team members skills to help advance the level of care provided at Hall Veterinary Clinic. She is always willing to help an animal in need and to spend time educating clients on animal care and behavior.

Veterinary Assistant

Lexi has been with our practice since December 2021. She was hired as a Customer Service Representative and has since taken on the role of Veterinary Assistant. She looks forward to improving her knowledge and skills while working hands-on with our clients and their beloved pets. Lexi has lived in Michigan her entire life and moved to Northern Michigan in 2020 with her partner to be closer to her family. She has six cats and two Australian Shepherds, Olivia and Trinity. In her free time, she enjoys family game nights, bonfires with friends, and movie nights with her furry children.

Veterinary Assistant

Alexis joined Hall Veterinary Clinic in March 2023 after working in a vet office downstate for seven years. She moved to northern Michigan to be closer to her family. After being a stay-at-home mom for the past 18 months, she was ready to get back into the veterinary field. Alexis loves working with animals and helping wherever she is needed.

When she is not at work, she enjoys going for horseback rides, hanging out with her two sweet boys, and getting cuddles from her dogs, cats, and house rabbit.

She found her passion for working with animals when she started as a kennel aide from 2018 to 2020. She’s lucky to be doing what she loves in Gaylord, where her son was born. Born and raised in northern Michigan, she feels there’s still so much to see!

In her free time, she loves to explore new things and places with her son.

Customer Service Representative

Alex joined the team at Hall Veterinary Clinic in September 2023. She is a Yooper with 11 years of home roots in Afton. Alex moved back to the area with her family in 2017 and is now living locally with her husband and ten pets at home.

Alex enjoys outdoor activities, reading, writing, and spending time with family. Veterinary medicine is Alex’s main passion and focus. She comes to Hall Veterinary Clinic with previous veterinary experience and hopes to continue growing that career at Hall Vet.
